 "The Pushbike Song" es una canción que fue grabada originalmente por la banda Australiana The Mixtures. Escrito por los hermanos Idris y Evan Jones, "The Pushbike Song" fue lanzado en 1970 y alcanzó el número uno durante dos semanas en las listas Australianas en Marzo de 1971. Y también fue popular en Gran Bretaña, alzanzando el número dos el 16 de Enero (batiendo al tema My Sweet Lord de George Harrison) y el número 31 en Canada. A consecuencia de esto fue versioneado por numerosos artistas
The Mixtures fueron una banda de rock formada en Melbourne, Australia en 1965. Los músicos Australianos Terry Dean y Rod De Clerk se conocieron en Tasmania en 1965, entonces conocieron a Laurie Arthur, que era miembro de The Strangers, y los tres decidieron formar una banda despues de una jam session. Rapidamente firmaron por EMI el mismo año y realizaron tes singles. Atravesaron por numerosos cambios de formacion atraves de los siguientes años, y entonces firmaron por CBS Records en 1969. Y despues de unos pocos singles fueron transferidos a Fable Records en 1970. Grabaron una versión del  "In the Summertime" Mungo Jerry y despues grabaron "The Pushbike Song".
   
"The Pushbike Song" is a song originally recorded by Australian band The Mixtures.Written by brothers Idris and Evan Jones, "The Pushbike Song" was released in 1970 and reached the top-spot for two weeks in the Australian charts in March 1971. It also proved popular in the UK, reaching the number two spot on 16 January (beaten by George Harrison's My Sweet Lord), and number 31 in Canada. It has subsequently been covered by various artists.
The Mixtures were a rock band formed in Melbourne, Australia in 1965.Australian musicians Terry Dean and Rod De Clerk met in Tasmania in 1965. They then met Laurie Arthur, a member of The Strangers, and the three decided to form a band together after a jam session. They quickly signed to EMI that same year and released three singles. They went through several line-up changes over the following few years, then signed to CBS Records in 1969. A few further singles followed before transferring to Fable Records in 1970. The Mixtures recorded a cover of Mungo Jerry's "In the Summertime". They followed up with "The Pushbike Song" (produced by David Mackay).
